Looking to explore the magnificent panoramic depths in the Caribbean but have no experience scuba diving?
The Learn to Dive Resort Course is a brief and easy method of dive instruction that will allow novices to dive at a reef that very afternoon. Complete diving novices can, in a matter of an hour, be on a boat en route to their first open-water scuba experience. You will begin your class with a short lecture from our PADI certified diving professionals. Our knowledgeable instructors will go over all of the required basics to introduce students to this thrilling sport. All necessary safety precautions are covered during this presentation. Our accommodating staff is prepared to answer any of your questions at this time.
After classroom time, you are ready to hit the beach (or the pool) for some water-skills practice. This training period allows scuba rookies to become acquainted with the equipment and comfortable in the water. A patient divemaster will guide your progress as you discover the incredible underwater freedom of scuba diving. After you are fully familiarized with your equipment, hop on board a dive boat to visit one of the pristine coral reefs off the coast of New Providence Island.
Your expert instructor will accompany you into the crystal-clear depths as your own personal dive-buddy. The magnificent sights below the surface include expansive coral gardens, a multitude of colorful exotic fish, and an assortment of marine species like sea turtles and sting rays. Your first expedition into the fabulous undersea wonderland off the shores of the Bahamas is sure to be the highlight of your tropical vacation.
What is the Learn To Dive Resort Course?
This is a quick and simple learn to dive program. Persons who have never tried diving before can dive without being certified. This course includes a short lecture, water skills practice & a one tank boat dive with your instructor.
What are the requirements to participate in this dive?
There are no requirements to be met in order to participate in this dive.
Can you pick us up from our cruise ship or hotel?
Complimentary pick up is provided from all hotels and cruise ship areas.
What are water conditions like?
All dives occur on the south side of the island where waters conditions are great all year round. Visibility remains clear and consistent all year round. Water tempatures change seasonally but average between 72 - 78f.
Can my non-diving partner come on the dive?
Yes. While your partner will not be able to participate in the dive itself they can come along as a rider and enjoy the trip with you.
Is there a restroom on the boat?
Yes, there is a restroom or "Marine Head" for use on the boat.
What about sharks and other sea creatures?
With all the media hype it's understandable why people often ask this question but the truth is that unprovoked shark attacks are very, very rare and attacks on scuba divers are even more rare. Our staff, divers and dive masters are all trained in making sure your dive is safe and enjoyable.
It is your responsibility to make sure you are aware of and understand all restrictions pertaining to this tour before booking online or over the phone. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically qualified and within any limits listed below in order to participate in this activity. No refunds will be given to those who reserve a spot and can not participate due to the restrictions listed below. - All participants must know how to swim
- Minimum age: 10 years old
- Guests who book a Learn to Dive Resort Course can join us for a 2nd day of diving where they can go on a 2-tank trip alongside one of our instructions. Call us for more information regarding this second day of diving
- Cruise guests at port from 8a - 5p will not have enough time to complete this. Port times must arrive at 7am or depart later than 6pm to be safe.

- 8:00AM / 12:00PM - Paradise Island
- 8:15AM / 12:15PM - Downtown / Cruise Ships (back to ship between 5:30/6pm for pm tours)
