Looking for a quick, safe and fun introduction to the exhilarating wonders below the surface of the Caribbean? The Discover Scuba Course is the ideal introduction to scuba diving for novices. The entire family can participate together while investigating the underwater panorama off the shores of the Bahamas. The easy-to-use scuba gear is a user-friendly equipment package that makes visiting the underwater world an uncomplicated and enjoyable experience.
You can bypass the extensive certification courses in favor of a more streamlined process designed to place divers where they wish to be: under the surface of the Caribbean viewing the spectacular undersea vistas of a shallow reef coral garden. After a brief classroom orientation, head to the pool in order to become acquainted with your gear while receiving instruction from your knowledgeable divemaster and underwater tour guide. Enjoy playing underwater games in our spacious Olympic-size 17-foot deep swimming pool. Ham it up and wave to your friends and family through the below-surface observation window. They can stay dry while easily recording your first diving experience with photographs or video.
After fun in the pool, it's time to venture out to dive in the open sea. Hop on one of our custom dive boats with our professional crew to visit one of the splendid reefs in the local waters. You'll be awe-struck by the incredible textures of a coral garden teeming with a multitude of aquatic species.
This program provides you the opportunity to dive to a maximum of 40 feet and investigate the underwater panorama under the close supervision of our experienced staff.
What is the Discover Scuba Course?
This is a quick and simple learn to dive program. Persons who have never tried diving before can dive without being certified. This course includes a short lecture, water skills practice & a one tank boat dive with your instructor.
What are the requirements to participate in this dive?
There are no requirements to be met in order to participate in this dive.
Can you pick us up from our cruise ship or hotel?
Transportation is not included for this activity.
What are water conditions like?
All dives occur on the south side of the island where waters conditions are great all year round. Visibility remains clear and consistent all year round. Water tempatures change seasonally but average between 72 - 78f.
Can my non-diving partner come on the dive?
No, unfortunately only divers may come on this trip.
Is There a restroom on the boat?
Yes. There is a restroom or "Marine Head" for use on the boat.
What about sharks and other sea creatures?
With all the media hype it's understandable why people often ask this question but the truth is that unprovoked shark attacks are very, very rare and attacks on scuba divers are even more rare. Our staff, divers and dive masters are all trained in making sure your dive is safe and enjoyable.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically qualified and within any limits listed below in order to participate in this activity. No refunds will be given to those who reserve a spot and can not participate due to the restrictions listed below. - PLEASE NOTE: Cancellations for all Freeport scuba diving programs MUST be received 14 days prior to the excursion. Reservations canceled less than 14 days but outside of 7 days, receive a 50% refund. All reservations canceled 7 days prior or less will NOT receive a refund.
