Stuart Cove Shark Adventure Dive

Looking for an exhilarating adventure? Stuart Cove's Shark Adventure is the ideal diving expedition for the thrill-seeking scuba diver. This two tank dive program will introduce adventurous divers to wild sharks off the coast of the Bahama Islands.

Experience a pulse-pounding up-close view of these impressive, though misunderstood, creatures. Our boats currently travel to four shark dive sites. Each Shark Adventure Dive will visit two of these locations. You will venture to either to the combination of "Shark Wall" and "The Arena" or the combination of "Runway Wall" and "The Runway." At either site combination, divers should expect to encounter a gathering of Caribbean Reef Sharks on a consistent basis. Free swim with the sharks beside a spectacular wall. During your first dive, because of our proximity to the feeding location, the sharks will follow along with you in anticipation of dinner. The sharks will remain curious, but will keep their distance, since no bait is exposed on this dive. This first dive creates a situation that seems as if the diver simply naturally encountered the sharks in the wild.

After the free swim, be amazed by the remarkable display of a shark feeding. Unlike the usual dive expeditions, patrons spend this dive kneeling on the sandy sea floor. Divers form a semi-circle in front of our professionally-trained shark feeder. The feeder entices the sharks to approach with a bait box. The guide then uses a pole spear to safely control the release of food, influencing the sharks' behavior. Rookie shark divers may be too entranced with the spectacle of circling predators to notice the feeder keeping the sharks in a polite feeding position. However be warned -- the reef sharks will come close, very close -- but they will be far more interested in the tasty bait than any person!
