Peterson Cay, a small isle that sits barely a mile off the southern shore of Grand Bahama, is one of the tiniest national parks in the Bahamas. As a result of the shallow waters that cover the sand bars and reefs just west of the island, Peterson Cay National Park is the perfect environment for snorkeling.

The cay has the unusual distinction of being the only island off Grand Bahama Island's leeward shore. There are few diving destinations that offer such an abundant amount of sea life and coral gardens at a depth that is accessible to snorkelers.
